Awakening Idol Top 8

Yes, you read that right! You all impressed us so much, we had to extend the top 5 to the top 8!
I want to say to everyone that we are so proud of you, and pray you will keep using your giftings to the glory of God. Please do not look at this as a defeat if you did not make the top 8, but as an opportunity for growth. Keep going and doing what you love and are called to do worship God with your whole self!

Congrats!
We will be having a mandatory practice on Monday (28th) evening from 6:30-8:30 in the Music Suite. Please bring 3 Christian song options with you that you are considering for the finale. We are asking that you do your best to select a song under 4 minutes in length due to the time limit we have that night. Your song can either be on a performance track or with a live instrument. We will not be allowing any acapella for the finale. Our vocal coach Kevin Seaton will help you select the best song for your voice. We will also be filming that night, so make sure you dress appropriately. :)

Hey everyone, I am so excited to be able to lead with all of you this week. I think this will be the first time I have played with some of you. If you have played with me before you know what I expect. If you have not then I will lay it out for you. I expect everyone to be on time and prompt. If you are going to be late or are stuck in traffic please just give me a call. I also expect everyone to know there music. I do not want to have to practice until the late hours of the night. I understand that this change of me leading just happened but the songs will be up on this blog today, so please listen and study. I also expect a good attitude at rehearsal. There will be songs that we may go over a few times just for one of the band members. Please be patient with everyone. We are a family and if someone needs help, we dont leave them behind. And the last and most important thing is, I expect your heart to be prepared and right with God. If you feel that you cannot reach these requirements, please come and talk to me before Tuesdays practice.
I am always expecting God to show up in a powerful way, but this week I am expecting it like I never have before.
